Do you know which online trading broker has the best selection of shares to short?
I am using scottrade and having hardtime to short shares here and there.
You should contact every broker and ask them how they are at shorting stocks. Normally, I suggest, a realtime broker for shorting cause you want to be able to have a lot of control.
But, If you are a new investor/trader you should nto be concentrating on the short side. The long side is where the big gains are made. Most newbies can not short. It is something that takes time to do well, due to all the rallies that occur when a stock is going down.
My suggestion: Dont short until you can prove you can make money going long first.
Yea i know about the rallies when coming up, pretty much short squeezes , thats where I look for to short when for a falling stock. I like finding stocks that are pumped up for stupid shit like wpte was the biggest one I have seen to date. I missed out on huge plays on the shorting side the past 2 weeks and not too happy about it.

Scottrade sucks, at shorting.
